Planning Firms in Ghana today.

A vivacious conversationalist on new media and a passionate advocate for empowering women in Africa for Africa, she continues to engage and inspire people from all walks of life through speaking engagements that
she’s frequently invited to both in and outside Ghana.

She is admired, not only for her obvious and contagious passion for “doing things right in Africa”, but also for her zeal and ardent determination to succeed which has won her several recognition awards and admiration
from her superiors, colleagues and subordinates alike.

In December 2011, she was decorated with the coveted Young Creative Star of The Year Award at the 10th Annual Global Professional Achievers’ (GPA) Awards Gala; after being nominated in three [3] award categories alongside some of Ghana’s most celebrated CEOs and Entrepreneurs. The Global Professional Achievers Awards are held annually in the United Kingdom (UK) to encourage and reward creativity, innovation, dedication and excellence among Ghana’s Top Business and Professional Community. Since then she’s also been awarded at the 2012 Ghana UK Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards.

Guba

GUBA Awards is held in London, UK, each year as a platform for showcasing exceptional achievement, talent and ability in the British Ghanaian community and, also, to honour the extraordinary accomplishments of Ghanaians worldwide.

Over the past ten [10] years, Gloria has acquired appreciable expertise in corporate communications, strategic marketing communications and event planning in Ghana and the UK. During her time in the United Kingdom, Gloria worked with multi-national brands such as SKY TV, Hilton Plc and more recently Morgan Stanley, where she worked on the company’s Marketing Team for close to four [4] years.

Always ambitious, she has, backed by a formidable team that she helped put together, built PlanIt Ghana from scratch to become one of the reference points for Brand Communications and Event Planning in Ghana and beyond. Today, PlanIt Ghana, the company she co-founded and which officially launched in Ghana less than three years ago, has an enviable track record and a portfolio of clients in the USA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, South Africa, Nigeria as well as Ghana.

Before joining PlanIt Ghana full time, Gloria worked with DEVTRACO Limited, a Ghanaian Real Estate Firm, as Director of Corporate Affairs & Marketing. The only female Director amongst the company’s top management team [and the youngest at age 27] she was the public voice of DEVTRACO Limited and spearheaded all marketing initiatives and campaigns in support of the business. During her relatively short time with DEVTRACO Limited in this position, the company did not only become a household name, but also picked up six [6] awards, one of which is the CNBC International Property Award, the pinnacle of all real estate awards worldwide. DEVTRACO Limited remains the first and only Ghanaian real estate company to pick up this international award.

Gloria isn’t only an admired, talented and astute young business woman. She also has a notable track record of giving back to the less privileged in society throughout her career. Less than a year after PlanIt officially kicked off in Ghana, she championed the company’s first Corporate Social Responsibility program – Love Your World (LYW) 5,000.

LYW 5,000 is a charitable awareness drive that seeks to help fight against stigmatising disadvantaged children. Together with her team, she was able to secure thousands of airtime dollars from national TV stations, radio & the national dailies to push an awareness drive in 2010 which educated millions of viewers, listeners and readers on Autism in Ghana. It was climaxed with a sponsored Charity Concert at the Citizen Kofi Entertainment Centre which merged staff from the Autism Awareness Care & Training Centre with their volunteers and the general public in an up-close encounter to enforce the message that autism is real and autistic children need help and not stigmatisation.

In 2010, Gloria won the opportunity to be a participant in the heavily contested My Business 2010 mentoring program organised by Joy FM. Since then, she’s built a strong network of high flying nationally recognised entrepreneurs who have further shared their experiences with the young entrepreneur and helped her further develop her admirable talent in a commendable business venture. PlanIt Ghana continues to earn a reputation for excellence and is currently creating riffles in the industry as a formidable emerging brand.

Gloria is a product of St. Rose’s Secondary School and Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ). After graduating from GIJ she worked in Public Relations and Journalism in Ghana briefly before deciding to further consolidate on her skills as a communications and marketing expert with specialized training in brand development and promotion from the London School of Public Relations and the University of Stirling, UK, where she gained an MSc in Public Relations.
