What social media platforms do you use?

I use Social Media platforms to connect with different people and raise the awareness and interest of both myself as an artist and the Company

 

How often do you check your social media platforms?

I check all my accounts on a daily basis. Facebook I tend to check in the mornings and in the evenings when I get in from my day job. However my twitter account I use continuously throughout the day as I feel it is a better platform to connect with different people.

 

 

How important is digital media in your business and personal life?

Digital media is very important to both my personal and business life because with the rise of social media it is one of the most effective ways to promote your business. It also enables you to reach people that you may not come across in your day to day life.

How has digital media enhanced your business?

Digital Media has enhanced my business because it allows me to interact with my fan base and individuals that are interested in the services Desire & Aspire provides

 

How long have you run your business and what is your role?

I have been running Desire & Aspire for just over a year and I am the managing director of the company.

 

Do you use social media to interact with your family or friends?

Yes. However I tend to speak to more distance friends via social networks as close friends and family I will call; distance people such as school friends is whom I speak to via social mediums.

 

What do you use social media for mainly work or play?

I mainly use social media for work. It is a key tool to promote the events put on by Desire & Aspire and also the artists / clients we represent.

 

How do you use social media for business, social interaction, fun, or current affairs?

For Business I will use twitter and facebook to invite people to events or give them information about important changes.  I use social media for social interaction a lot as I run a lot of my competitions via twitter and facebook and the winners will be announced on my monthly television show ‘Desire’s World’ on sky channel 182.

I don’t really use social media for current affairs.

Do you share your social media updates across all platforms?

Yes all my social media updates will update across, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblur, Instagram and the website.

Do you have two social media profiles? One for business and one for personal use? 

If yes, why?

Yes, I do this because I like to keep my personal life separate. My personal page would have pictures of me with my close friend and family; also it is set to private so only people I know are able to access it.

 

What topics of interest do you follow via digital media?

Soca Music, Chart /mainstream music, Caribbean News, Caribbean flight information, anything that has to do with the Caribbean.

 

Do you use Skype or Face Time?

I have got Facetime, but I mostly used Skype to have conference meetings with representatives in the Caribbean.

 

Do you use Social media on your mobile phone?

Yes, I have all the apps for all my social media networks on my mobile phone. This is so that I don’t miss any important messages or updates.

 

How important is digital media to your business or personal life?

It is very important as it is my main source of engaging new clients and custom. Personally I don’t use it for anything mainly other than business.

 

Do you buy or read magazines, journals or newspapers online?

I may read random articles if someone posts a link and it interest me other than that not really.

 

Do you book your holidays online or go to a travel agent?

I book most of my holidays online, as it is much easier, especially now that you are able to put deposit on flights now too.

 

How much of your business and professional life is conducted online?

I would say about 70% of my business life is conducted online and about 30-40% of my personal life is conducted online.

 

Do you read and use social media when on vacation?

Yes, as it’s on my phone and easy to access. Also when I am on vacation I always end up finding myself working.
