Full-time working Mother with 3 teenagers 16 Kasey,17 Courtnai – Rai and 20 Jordan.
2006 – 2008 In my spare time created Lion & Lioness clothing line positive messages on the back of T-shirts a fashionable way of building confidence and self-esteem with positivity this was supported by Lady dynamite ,Omar who wore the clothing on tour, Anthony Hamilton, Bashy ,Chipmunk ,Akala ,Wretch 32,Skepta,Ty ,Tinie Tempa, Kymani Marley and N-Dubs who I presented personally with the clothing. I became a mentor for young girls went into schools providing workshops on confidence building. I went on to share my story and became a speaker on DV issues.
2009 – Present Created and coordinate Lioness Ladies women’s network a monthly dinner event for black women to promote or showcase themselves or their business they also get support from others in a social environment once a month.
2010 – Civic leadership Graduate a project in conjunction with operation black vote and the Mayor of Lewisham. Selected to go behind the scenes and experience public life roles that BAME are non-existent in. We went behind the scenes of NHS Board, SNT and House of Commons.
2010 – Joined SNT Board meeting Catford police station where I live after shadowing it as there were no BAME members 3months in was voted the first official Chair in 5years.
2010 – Nominee Role Model of the year Heroes South London Press.
2010 – Selected as a candidate for local councillor elections in Lewisham. A 10 month election campaign where I live the ward has approximately 6,000 constituents I spoke to half the ward door knocking, canvassing speaking to the community and Media.
2010 – I won a funding bid 10,000 to create and run community cohesion projects in Lewisham.
2011 – 2012 Voted Chair second term.
2011 – Make a difference Award winner voted for by the people of Lewisham for supporting others. After speaking to so many different people where I live I decided to apply for funding. The funded projects I created and run catered for the whole community. The elderly,teenagers,disadvantage families,mums with under 5s,children with disabilities and there carers .I am so passionate about making a positive change that I went from a full time job to part time to make sure they was delivered with a personal touch.
2011 – Selected as a Councillor Candidate by election. Campaigned for 6 weeks spoke to the community, delivered leaflets hand wrote a letter. I came 3rd.
2011 – Nominee for Peace Award.
2012 – The first community card Trader to represent Award winning Colourblind cards.
2013 – Present Committee member IAG Lewisham (Independent Advisory Group) Building long-term effective working links between police and community groups.
